(PreK) Explore fields and forests to learn how pants and animals prepare for winter through an enchanting autumn puppet show. Your students will have a close up and friendly encounter with a live animal and a discovery hike will enable them to experience the joys of fall.
Winter Woods at Leslie Science & Nature Center
(PreK - K) What do animals do in the winter? Students will discover how both plants and animals prepare themselves for survival during Michigan’s harsh winters through hands-on experiments, observations, a hike through the woods, and a closer look at one of Michigan’s native animals.

Sensing Nature at Leslie Science & Nature Center
(K-2nd) How do animals use their sense of sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing? Students will discover how animals use their senses to survive by observing a live animal up close, exploring stops along our “Sensory Nature Trail,” and much more! Your students’ senses are sure to be engaged!
